Rigid Heddle Loom Basics Workshop
This class will walk you through the basics of using your rigid heddle loom and is designed for someone who has woven but needs a bit more help finessing their textiles. During the class we’ll direct warp a small sample using the colour and weave technique, and you’ll learn how to read a weaving draft, calculate your warp and weft needs, hemstitch, some basic lace, tips on how to achieve a more regular, evenly woven textile, and suggestions for finishing. At the end of the class, you’ll have small sample to take home.
Matierals Included: 2 skeins of Cascade 220 in contrasting colours (1 light, 1 dark) of your choice.
REQUIREMENTS: PLEASE CHOOSE THE CORRECT OPTION WHEN SIGNING UP.
This workshop is primarily intended for owners of Rigid Heddle Looms. There is only ONE space available for a NON-LOOM OWNER to use our shop loom during the workshop. The remaining spaces are for owners of Ashford Rigid Heddle Looms: please choose option LOOM OWNER if you have your own loom.
